Pa' Wiso

This canvas is part of my Puerto Rico collection, and is an attempt to honor my late father-in-law, Angel (Wiso). It's a photograph I took that has been processed to look like a watercolor.

Wiso's favorite family activity was to invite us all to sea food on the Puerto Rican coastline. This time: El Makito in Naguabo. He was definitely at his happiest when surrounded by the people he cared about, eating comida criolla. He was so dedicated to la isla del encanto, and so in love with its naturaleza, and it was my honor to know him. 10% of the earnings from this print will go to building the resilience of the island he so loved.

• Sustainably created through Gelato.
• Canvas frames are made of FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council) wood. When not available PEFC or equivalent.
