So while Auntie K and crew stayed another day in Iceland, Boricua and I headed home. The very next week I had my very first work trip in Portland, and Boricua was in Switzerland! The crazy thing was running into my boss on a tiny airplane from Vancouver to Portland, where she had been vacationing before our big meeting that week.
I was really excited to be in Portland because I had heard so much about it. I thought the city was decent but I didn't get out to really experience the nature, which is what seems like must be the best part of the city to me. It was ironic (probably not using that correctly) because we had a lot of people come to the meeting from developing countries where they deal with power outages all the time, and coming to this nice American city, a pretty big portion of the city was out of power for a few days!
Boricua wants to go back to Switzerland, but together. I would have to agree!
My next stop was a big deal – my little sister's high school graduation!! It had been so long since all three sisters had been together, and all four cousins!
Grandpa got some photos too! The graduation was really special – H's class seemed really close, and full of great kids! I got some photos of her on the big screen. ;)

I can't remember the order everything happened in but that week we also took a trip to Taliesin West, of Frank Lloyd Wright and had a grad party_
And of course we took the opportunity to take more photos! These are somewhat pixellated, it was dusk already and I don't love the way flash looks, so I tried to lighten the photos up.
