Boricua had the chance to go to Sofia, Bulgaria and Bucharest, Romania on a work trip. We took advantage of the opportunity!
I met him in Bucharest and we stayed a little longer after his work was done. It is so hard to describe how I felt there. It was the farthest East either one of us had ever been, and I was so excited to see what life is like in a former Soviet country.
The People's Palace
This place is enormous. We saw only a TINY percent of it in the afternoon tour we did. It was the vision of Nicolae Ceausescu, who was executed by the people in 1989.
It costs around $10,000 to rent this ballroom. I wonder if I could convince 100 people to each pay $100 and we could have a BALL!
